The Australian Carbon Industry Code of Conduct is a voluntary framework that promotes best practice, transparency, and integrity among businesses engaged in carbon market activities, including carbon farming and credit trading. Signatories commit to upholding the Code’s principles, while Partners support its objectives without being bound by its requirements.
Standardising industry practices
With a rapidly evolving carbon market, organisations want to manage risks both internally and externally. By becoming Signatories, organisations such as Gondwana Carbon publicly commit to standards of transparency, accountability, legal compliance, and respectful engagement with key stakeholders.
Expectations of Gondwana Carbonas a Signatory
As a Signatory of the Australian Carbon Industry Code of Conduct, or ‘the Code, Gonwana Carbon adheres to a set of guidelines that are developed to govern and guide companies that are engaged in carbon projects.
The minimum standards that the Signatories agree to meet are intended to promote market integrity and consumer protection, and emphasise proper engagement with project stakeholders. As part of our obligations, we are also required to maintain a clear and fair process for handling complaints.
Making a complaint
Complaint handling procedure
If you have concerns about how a process or project has been handled, you may lodge a complaint. In accordance with the Code, our internal complaint-handling procedures align with its requirements.
Lodge a complaint
Email us at contact@gondwanacarbon.com. You'll receive an acknowledgment within two business days, and you'll be kept uptodate throught the process. The Code Administrator will also be notified to ensure your complaint is addressed.
Complaint handling timeframe
Gondwana Carbon aims to resolve complaints respectfully and promptly. You'll receive an outcome within 45 days, with most resolved in 21. If more time is needed, we’ll notify you before the 21-day mark.

Gondwana Carbon records details of the complaint and what was done to resolve itand shares the details with the CMI
Unsatisfactory resolution
If you feel your complaint hasn’t been fully addressed, you can raise it directly to the CMI via the Australian Carbon Industry Code of Conduct complaints form
