Landholders are not utilising their land to its full potential
Many properties have hidden value in their natural capital, which includes trees, soil, water, and native vegetation. Some areas within a property can provide new income opportunities through government and private programs. This creates the potential to diversify income, enhance land resilience, and receive payment for activities that may already be taking place.
Turn better land management into income while improving your land
- Get paid for planting trees or changing how you manage the land.
- Earn upto $35 to $60 for every tonne of carbon dioxide your land sequestered or avoids.
- Access funding by protecting native habitats and ecosystems.
- Improve soil and water to support farming and secure future funding.
What is environmental planting?
Environmental planting projects sequester (capture and store) carbon through planting native trees, while increasing biodiversity and creating diverse habitats on land that was previously cleared.
These projects restore vegetation, providing landholders with an opportunity to earn additional income while enhancing the health of their land. This concept is related to the idea of natural capital, which refers to the benefits we derive from nature, such as clean water, fertile soil, and healthy ecosystems.
NATURAL CAPITAL ASSETS
What does a natural capital portfolio hold?
Restoration and conservation of some native ecosystems may qualify for biodiversity offset, and healthy soil and water can support both farming and future funding opportunities. Understanding what each part of your land can offer helps you use it better, earn additional income, and tap into government-run schemes.
Agricultural potential
Based on historical trends, future of the market, and local climate seasonality.
Carbon storage potential
Government led methods rewarding landholders for capturing carbon e.g., by planting trees or managing grazing.
Biodiversity
Biodiversity offset potential for protecting native habitats, wildlife, and insects, crucial for the location.
Water quality
Healthy waterways and ground-water systems that are vital for production and have measurable value.
Soil health
The living foundation of your enterprise, crucial for productivity and climate resilience.
WHAT YOU'LL GET
Plant with purpose for rewarding results
We work alongside you to create high-quality planting projects that make a real difference. Our focus is on keeping things simple, fair and effective.
Every step we take is built around your goals and the needs of your land. With years of experience and a strong commitment to doing things right, we’re here to help you get the most out of your environmental planting project.
Straight forward agreements
Our fair-share models are built on clarity and trust, ensuring every stakeholder benefits equitably from the project’s success.
Tailored approach
Projects are designed to fit with your existing operations, so your land continues to work the way it did before, but without more purpose.
Accessibleentry
Earn additional income from your land without needing to scale up, change how you farm, or commit to something you can’t manage.
Following through
From land screening to estimating carbon yield and managing delivery, we bring the tools, people, and network to get the job done right.
Lean team, vast experience
Focused on quality, speed, and delivering real outcomes across Australia, we’re small by design but highly experienced.
Environmental Planting, Echo Project, NSW
Analysis and preparation for registration of Echo Project, NSW, under the reforestation by environmental or mallee plantings FullCAM method, Environmental Planting Feasibility assessment of environmental planting project.
HIR Moroak and Goondoloo Stations, QLD
Conducted an in-depth feasibility assessment at Moroak and Goondooloo stations, QLD, under the Human-induced regeneration (HIR) ACCU method complemented with the Integrated Farm and Land Management (IFLM)and Savanna Fire Management (SFM) methods.
Batavia Savanna Burning Project
Management of the Batavia Savanna Burning Project, an Indigenous-owned carbon project in Far North QLD. Operated by local Traditional Owners, it employs strategic early dry season burning techniques in eligible fuel vegetation areas.
Alka Bawar’s Northern Savanna Project
Supporting the successful delivery and management of Alka Bawar’s savanna burning project, including TOs engagement, site visits, reporting, marketing and ACCU trading.
Examples of our projects
Realising the value of natural capital
We deliver innovative natural capital solutions by combining carbon science, community insight, and environmental integrity. We focus on land-based projects under the Australian ACCU scheme, including Environmental Planting and Savanna Fire Management with Indigenous communities.
Revegetation Projects
Revegetation and bank stabilisation works of riparian areas, floodplains and wetlands through the Healthy Rivers Projects in the Murray-Darling Basin, NSW. Landcare Living Landscape revegetation project over 1,000 ha in Bundanon, NSW, which included tree planting, feral animal and weed control, biodiversity monitoring, and the establishment of a reforestation carbon project with the Bundanon Trust.
Human-induced Regeneration (HIR) projects
Assessment, registration and management of human-induced regeneration projects in NSW and QLD: Seedling Asset Holdings HIR Project and Box Vale HIR Project.
Educating local farmers on soil carbon
Delivered a soil carbon awareness campaign by bringing local farmers together at a soil carbon demonstration farm in the Upper Murray Region, VIC. The events featured talks from soil experts followed by a paddock walk, giving farmers a chance to see soil health practices in action and engage in discussion.
Risk & high integrity assessment tool
Assisted in developing a tool to assess high integrity environmental planting projects, combining the risk profiles on the country, project, and project developer levels. Assessment tool was used to develop derisked portfolios in line with corporate decarbonisation strategies and commitments.
