Example timeline of an accu scheme project

The path from property acquisition to ACCU issuance

Our business model is straightforward and centred on long-term value: acquiring land, registering a carbon project, growing trees, and generating ACCUs.

We‘re part of each step—highlighting when capital goes to work, how value builds over time, and when returns begin. Demand is rising for high-integrity, nature-based credits, especially those with strong cobenefits like biodiversity restoration and Indigenous involvement, which attract a clear price premium in the market.

STAGE 1

Property purchase

This stage is not applicable if the land is already owned or it has been leased.

STAGE 2

Project registration

The formal approval process that makes a carbon project eligible to generate credits.

STAGE 3

Project implementation and monitoring

Ongoing stage until the end of the crediting period (the timeframe during which a project can generate carbon credits, typically around 25 years)

STAGE 4

Project reporting

The reporting stage usually takes around three months to complete and submit to the Clean Energy Regulator (CER), though timing can vary depending on the complexity of the project.

STAGE 5

ACCU issuance

Up to 90 days after the report has been submitted to CER.

Why us

A smart land investment starts with the right partner

Community-led partnerships

Engagement grounded in respect, collaboration, and shared value, with a commitment to transparent benefit-sharing and communities are compensated.

Fit-for-purpose methodologies

Active in industry groups, with deep experience developing internationally recognised methodologies to deliver customised approaches.

High-integrity ACCU generation

We have traded over 300,000 Indigenous ACCUs, realising a 42% price premium over the market average, resulting in over $15M being funnelled back to Indigenous communities.

Lean team, vast experience

An agile and experienced team specialising in natural capital and carbon project development across Australia, delivering results and realising value.

We design projects to minimise risks from day one

As part of our project evaluation, we assess and manage key risks across market, operational, and regulatory domains. This includes fire exposure, compliance with method eligibility, legal tenure, eligible interest holder consents, and necessary authorisations for project activities.

Environmental Planting, Echo Project, NSW

Analysis and preparation for registration of Echo Project, NSW, under the  reforestation by environmental or mallee plantings FullCAM method, Environmental Planting Feasibility assessment of environmental planting project.

HIR Moroak and Goondoloo Stations, QLD

Conducted an in-depth feasibility assessment at Moroak and Goondooloo stations, QLD, under the Human-induced regeneration (HIR) ACCU method complemented with the Integrated Farm and Land Management (IFLM)and Savanna Fire Management (SFM) methods.

Batavia Savanna Burning Project

Management of the Batavia Savanna Burning Project, an Indigenous-owned carbon project in Far North QLD. Operated by local Traditional Owners, it employs strategic early dry season burning techniques in eligible fuel vegetation areas.

Alka Bawar’s Northern Savanna Project

Supporting the successful delivery and management of Alka Bawar’s savanna burning project, including TOs engagement, site visits, reporting, marketing and ACCU trading.

Examples of our projects

Realising the value of natural capital

We deliver innovative natural capital solutions by combining carbon science, community insight, and environmental integrity. We focus on land-based projects under the Australian ACCU scheme, including Environmental Planting and Savanna Fire Management with Indigenous communities.

Some of our team's earlier experience

A lean team with vast experience

Our team consists of agile and experienced experts specialising in natural capital and carbon project development across Australia, delivering results and realising value

Revegetation Projects

Revegetation and bank stabilisation works of riparian areas, floodplains and wetlands through the Healthy Rivers Projects in the Murray-Darling Basin, NSW. Landcare Living Landscape revegetation project over 1,000 ha in Bundanon, NSW, which included tree planting, feral animal and weed control, biodiversity monitoring, and the establishment of a reforestation carbon project with the Bundanon Trust.

Human-induced Regeneration (HIR) projects

Assessment, registration and management of human-induced regeneration projects in NSW and QLD: Seedling Asset Holdings HIR Project and Box Vale HIR Project.

Educating local farmers on soil carbon

Delivered a soil carbon awareness campaign by bringing local farmers together at a soil carbon demonstration farm in the Upper Murray Region, VIC. The events featured talks from soil experts followed by a paddock walk, giving farmers a chance to see soil health practices in action and engage in discussion.

Risk & high integrity assessment tool

Assisted in developing a tool to assess high integrity environmental planting projects, combining the risk profiles on the country, project, and project developer levels. Assessment tool was used to develop derisked portfolios in line with corporate decarbonisation strategies and commitments.

An Example of a High-Potential Property Investment

Assessing the potential of a degraded cattle property to turn into a high-integrity carbon project with ecological and community impact

The starting point

Through our automated property assessment tool, our team identified a property with strong potential for a carbon project that would also deliver environmental and community benefits. A 1,750-hectare former cattle property near Tamworth seemed promising, but we needed to confirm it was the right fit.

Working through the data

We took a close look at the land’s condition, rainfall, fire and flood history, and ecological value. We found that more than half the property could support environmental planting. It also sits in an important wildlife corridor and provides habitat for threatened species like koalas and Booroolong frogs.

We worked through financial models to check the project could stand up under different scenarios. That included conservative estimates for carbon credit pricing and potential risks. We also began working with local partners, including the local Indigenous community, to shape the project with a focus on restoration, cultural connection, and long-term stewardship.

Unique property for a carbon project

The property showed strong potential for a large-scale reforestation project, with up to 695,000 carbon credits possible over a 25-year period. The site offered solid financial returns, a short payback period, and resilience under market pressure. It also presented an opportunity to support biodiversity, water systems, and local community outcomes.

This is an example of our property identification and due diligence process. It has been applied to identify many other potential properties on the market, that need quick decision making in order to secure them for purchasing.
